The HKUST President's Outstanding Service Award aims to recognize the exceptional contributions of non-teaching staff members who have gone above and beyond their duties to benefit the University and the community. For 2021/2022, Ms. Shirley TANG, IPO Administrator and Mr. Matthew CHIK, IPO Manager, were honored for their contributions to the establishment of Division of Emerging Interdisciplinary Areas (EMIA) and the launch of Extended Majors, allowing more students to explore emerging areas of study and pursue their academic interests. They also devoted a lot of efforts in the faculty recruitment for the HKUST Guangzhou campus to ensure its smooth opening and operation.

We are delighted and grateful for their invaluable dedications to the development of IPO and HKUST, and we look forward to seeing more exceptional services from IPO members in the future.
