#learningwithoutboundaries

UBS has been collaborating with our Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP) since 2017 to develop projects that foster innovation and entrepreneurship in each Winter semester. This year, UBS provided T&M-DDP students with two desktop research topics on the exploration of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols and a business case for Synapse, as well as a Chatbot prototyping project through TEMG4940A "Smart Contract Research for UBS" and TEMG4940B "Chatbot Prototyping for UBS".

Both courses were concluded with final presentations at the UBS Hong Kong office on January 30, 2023. 23 T&M-DDP students from Year 2 to Year 5 were divided into six teams to work on the three projects over four weeks. To refine their approaches and hypotheses, the students sought advice in the weekly meetings with UBS subject experts and Prof. Betty LIN, the course instructor and Associate Director of T&M-DDP.

Despite more junior students joining this Winter project, the final deliverables were impressive and received praise from UBS Hong Kong and Singapore managers who attended the final presentations. Prof. Betty LIN expressed her delight in collaborating with UBS leaders to gain insights into new industry trends and tackle real-world challenges.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the UBS project sponsors, including Mr. Vinay SRINIVAS, Quant Analyst; Mr. Andrew WONG, Executive Director of APAC Strategy; Mr. Koji TAKASUMI, Managing Director, Head of APAC IB Operations; Mr. Dennis TAM, Trade and Processing specialist; Mr. CHUAN Ji Lim at Strategic Development Lab (APAC), Principal Investments and New Ventures; Ms. Sabrina HUNG at Financing Digital Platforms Graduate Talent Programme, and Ms. Athena WONG, Location Operating Head Hong Kong, for their unwavering support in our Winter courses.
