The final presentation of TEMG4950J “Corporate Consulting Project: Virtual Banking Strategies for livi” was concluded on a high note on November 30, 2022. After 13-week coaching by Prof. Betty LIN, the course instructor and Associate Director of Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP), and meetings with subject experts from livi bank and IBM, our students have designed innovative customer engagement strategies and tailored virtual banking products to tackle the real world challenge.

Team 2 “Two Fun” and Team 3 “6th Sense” were selected as the winning and 1st runner up teams respectively by our honorable jury: Mr. Eric LIN, Chief Marketing Officer, livi bank, Mr. Patrick SZE, Head of Technology & Operations, livi bank and Mr. Lee-Han TJIOE, General Manager, IBM Consulting, Hong Kong.

The creative ideas of all teams amazed Mr. Eric LIN. He commented, “I found this collaboration with the Dual Degree Program is really valuable because I received lots of great ideas from the students’ presentation… they also shared a lot of first-hand user experience and feedback on livi services. I’m sure some of these ideas can be turned to life and launched for livi!”

Mr. Lee-Han TJIOE added that “I’m very impressed by the students who have the initiative to study both business and technology. Because it is so important in the current society that we required people with creative minds but also the experience and insights in technology to find solutions for the bigger problems.”

A lot of thanks to the mentors - Mr. Tony CHAN (also a T&M-DDP alumnus from Class of 2015) and Mr. Wallace YAU from livi bank, as well as Ms. Winnie NIEH and Ms. Janice LEUNG from IBM for guiding our students throughout the term. Last but not least, our special thanks to Mr. Andy TSUI, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Harman, for sponsoring JBL speakers for our MVP winners.
